Skills Assessments (UPPER DIVISIONS)

MINORS & MAJORS

Requirements : Players MUST be registered (and paid) for the 2025 AGVLL Season. There are NO sign-ups at the skills assessment.

When: TBD--February XX, 9:00 - 1:00  -or-  February XX 12:00 - 2:00. (You only need to attend one)

Where: Soto Sports Complex - PILG Field

Who: ALL players league age 9 and older must attend one of the Skills Assessment sessions. 8 year olds that would like to tryout for the Minors Division must attend as well. If your 8 year old plans to play in the Farm Division no assessment is necessary.

What to Expect: Each session will last approximately 10-15 minutes.  There will be about 8 kids per group. All kids in each group should all be Majors or all Minors. Each group of players field ground balls & fly balls, swing at five pitches and run the bases.

Is this a Try Out? No, this is a skills assessment. Every child is placed on a team. Skills Assessment determines the appropriate division for each player, and it gives coaches a chance gauge a players skill level before the draft.

What do I Bring? Players should arrive ready to play in baseball pants and cleats. Bring your own glove, bat (USA approved) and helmet.

Please click on the link below to sign-up for your time. When you sign-up make sure to use the players name (not the name of the parent).

Minors and Majors sessions will alternate so please choose a time slot designated with your player's division (e.g. MINORS or MAJORS). Coaches will be evaluating a lot of players, so it is very important that you arrive on time.  Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time to check-in.
