Arroyo Grande Valley Little League Pool Player Sign Up form

https://forms.gle/NJLXaW7U5HseyYfL8

This is only for our Upper Division Players (Minors, Majors, Intermediate)

This form is to show interest in being a pool player in your own AGVLL division when a team needs a player to help or to fill a roster.  This is only for our upper division leagues (Minors, Majors, Intermediate)

What is a Pool Player?
Sometimes during the season a team may find themselves short a player or two due to illness or family vacations.  As a pool player, you will be called upon to help fill these spots, and to play for the team as a full member of the team.

As a Pool Player, if contacted, the decision to play is yours and there is absolutely no requirement to play, but as a pool player you will get more playing time, more at-bats, a great opportunity to meet new friends, and more time to play baseball.  If you decide not to play as a pool player when contacted, we will move you to the bottom of the list so you can be called again if desired.  If you or your player requests to be removed from the Pool List, please feel free to let us know ASAP.

How the Player Pool will work:
When a manager knows they are going to be short players for the next game, they will contact the Player Agent, and request one or more players from the pool (enough to make a minimum team of 9 players).

Some key notes
  • All Current Players can be in the Player Pool within their own division, so as long as they are not playing at the same time
  • Once contacted and confirmed, Pool Players will play the entire game for the the team
  • Pool players cannot pitch, or play catcher
  • Once the Pool Player and family has been contacted and agrees to play, the manager may not change their mind.  They must play that Pool Player for the remainder of the game in question within the Little League Regulations as their own Player.
  • The Player Agent is in charge of the Pool Players and will go down the list to find the next available player
  • Team Managers will not know who is next on the list, and cannot select specific players
  • If the Player Agent contacts you, it is entirely up to you and your Player as to whether they want to play and are available to play, please be prompt in responding, as this is usually a last minute decision by the coaches.
  • Pool Player will wear their own home team jersey while playing
